So it’s been 3 weeks now being a non smoker, and I had a one evening relapse when we had a large family birthday party. I had alcohol during the party, and I was excited because everyone was there. I smoked about 5 cigarettes that evening, and felt gross the next day with the mild hangover and worse, the CIGARETTE hangover. Nothing I hate more than a disgusting smoker’s hangover – yech!!

So I know now that I have two definite triggers that cause such a massive craving, I’m almost helpless in the face of a cigarette. One is coffee, and the other is alcohol and group socializing. So it’s really simple right? Don’t drink alcohol in excess of two drinks and avoid coffee all together. Sounds simple does it not? Well, it’s not.

Another thing I’ve noticed is the effect of Goji berry and fruit drinks. As well as that, I’ve noticed a difference between drinking Zrii every day, and drinking Goji berry mixtures.

By far, the Goji berries WORKED FAR BETTER than drinking Zrii, or Acai berry juice. I’ve tried both now, and I can tell you that mixing real Goji berries in a blender with some blueberries, a banana, and some milk and orange juice will help you curb your cravings for cigarettes and food. I was losing weight when I had the Goji berry blender drinks every day. When I ran out of Goji berries, I felt much worse. I was tired more, felt aches and pains more, and had less fight in me to stop smoking all together.

The relapse I had really bummed me out because I had done well staying off the cigs for 2 weeks. Really bummed me out, and I could feel discomfort in my chest again the next morning. Gross!

So I ordered a big bag (cheap too) of Goji berries which I’m still waiting for, and I have not smoked again since the relapse. I’ll drink this Zrii until the Goji berries arrive.

Since I discovered my addiction to stress, worry, and basic silliness almost 24 years ago I’ve been through every possible technique for reducing stress, increasing appetite, sleeping better, and generally feeling better. Regardless if you are using medication or not, it really comes down to how you look at your world and yourself .

Regardless of whether you use medication to help with depression or anxiety, how you treat your mind and body are critical to your over-all well being.

About 15 years ago I went on a journey taking me to all of the different holistic and organic approaches using diet as a form of prevention and treatment. Whether you are on medication for anxiety or depression, what you put in your body makes a monumental difference to how you feel.

Below is an outline of the way I regained control of my life and started feeling allot better about everything.

Exercise

Getting some mild exercise every day is a big big deal. It doesn’t have to be a big sweaty to work-out – just as short bit of exercise that creates perspiration will do. Sex is plenty enough to count as a good session of exercise. It’s not always easy to exercise everyday, but it’s a good goal. If you job has plenty of walking that is good enough right there.

Diet

Avoiding bad foods is HUGE. Avoiding drugs is a big deal to. This means illegal and legal drugs (recreational or otherwise). If you use drugs and/or alcohol for escape, I encourage you to rid your life of that practice. I know – I’ve tried all of the above and more to deal with my anxiety disorder.

Some so-called energy foods and drinks can help to some degree, and some of the new nutritional beverages can reduce your stress and well being considerably (eg. – Zrii). Fruit drinks like Zrii actually cleanse your body of toxins, acts as an anti-inflammatory, and slows down aging in human beings.

Surroundings

Controlling your surrounding and controlling you bombardment of information is critical as well. When you don’t entertain negative thoughts and the negative media of others, you are heading in the right direction towards cleaning your mind chatter, and processing the world the way life was meant to be.

So we don’t really have to use medication to calm down. We use organic consumables to clean ourselves out and feel better everyday. Try these ideas out and see how you feel.

Clear eyes, clear mind, and clear body do wonders for cutting down your stress. Consider at east trying these methods.
