I am trying out a live chat function on this blog so that in cases where someone is really struggling with anxiety they may be able to get some live help. It might be me (Jacob) or my wife (Emma) or maybe just another visitor who is not anxiety ridden at the time and can help you through a rough moment.
I keep a log of all comments, which may or may not be posted later to help others get over a problem.
You can see the live chat box to the right of the screen.
You will only see Emma or myself on there once and awhile because we don’t sit on the web site all day, but there will certainly be times when we are there to help you if you have any questions.

Hi,im currently seeing a psychiatrist who diagnosed me with panic desorder. Is it normal to feel like your having a panic attack 24/7? or is it what you so call the 3rd stage of acute anxiety? I literally feel like im loosing my mind all the time and even the klonopin can barely help. I feel out of my body and cannot find comfort in anything. give me some advice or words of comfort plz.
Nicki…..this blog does not register right now because of a scripting problem. Sorry.
I disabled the chat function because it was not working well with this blog.

Hi Maude,
You will be OK Maude. Try and turn off your thinking
if you can. Yes, you are in stage three where you are really suffering and are always in a high level of anxiousness and then into a panic attack.
THIS IS TEMPORARY
Do you still like eating? How much sleep are you getting? Some sleep and good food (like salad and a small portion of meat – soup if you can’t eat solid food OK) will help you calm down. If you can’t sleep your doctor may be able to help you with some temporary medication for this.
It may be that the anti-anxiety medication prescribed does not work for you. See your doctor(s) and let them know that those meds are not working. He or she could try something different.
THIS IS TEMPORARY
I promise you this – YOU WILL get through this. Today try and get yourself to a field, a park, a forest. Even if you are afraid to go outside try and get yourself to nature. Sit down in the grass or in a forest setting. Sit quietly, close your eyes and pay attention to your hands as you feel the grass or dirt. You will find this somewhat calming.
Try to remember at this time that your thoughts are simply that – JUST thoughts. Try to remember that any scary thoughts you are having are not real either. Avoid loud and pushy people, violent television. Avoid news media all together.
THIS IS TEMPORARY
The key here is to SLOW DOWN YOUR THINKING because your mind is likely running extremely fast. If you could manage to completely STOP ALL thinking you would relax instantly, but it’s difficult to do that when you are worrying about another panic attack coming.
You are going to be OK. This state does pass. Don’t forget that YOU ARE NOT ALONE and that millions of others like yourself, me, and others on this blog have dealt with the same thing.
What is likely causing all this anxiety is some kind of big change in your life situation.

These guys have helped me allot over the years.
If you are deeply anxious you may not be able to listen properly because your mind has taken you over. When you can relax enough watch all of the Youtube video from Wayne Dyer and Eckhart Tolle. They have a great message to give you and this can help you through your awakening.
Your extreme anxiety is caused by your assemblage points changing and you are going to soon be looking at life very differently when you come out of all this (yes, you will come out of all this).
Remember that you are not your body, your job, your marriage, your children, your money, your things, your car. That is all just form. You are at the core a very powerful human being and you will realize this although you may not believe that right at this very moment.
Eckhart will help you understand “the noise” that is in your mind.
THIS IS TEMPORARY
Wayne will help you understand your real connection to universal energy.
This is why you are NEVER alone. Your mind activity (mental noise) has made you think you have lost connection to your source which is ALL peaceful and ALL relaxed.
You are awakening. You are changing for the better.

Hi I am new here but I have been having a Really hard for about 4 months I have Panic and Anxiety and agropohbia 24/7. I feel really light headed and dizzy all the time my mind feels like it has spasams which scares me and I have had all the test done you can think of I believe. I think it gets worse when I start my period. I feel like I cant breathe. I am taking xanax xr but right now it isnt lasting I am going to start pevexa (sp) the same stuff as paxil soon I am just worried about the side effects I have been on so many ssri meds. Any help whould be great why does my head feel so werid and floaty and sudden dizzness its driving me nuts!!
As long as you are coming off an SSRI or going on an SSRI you will mostly likely feel dizzy or “foggy”.
Paxil will help but I encourage you to try to calm down. You are going to be alright when this all passes – it WILL pass, just in case you are frightened and feel like you have almost lost hope. I’ve been at that stage after about 6 months of dealing with Panic Attacks.
Try and slow your brain down whatever you do. Try old movies with innocent plot lines and no violence. Try telling a friend or family member everything you have been going through and THANK THEM for listening to you.
Exercise
Whenever I have a had a panicky day or night I get on the treadmill or go for a long fast walk. When you are having high panic this means you are in the flight-or-fight mode and your body HAS to burn off that energy.
I remember having a solid week of panic attacks, hardly any sleep, and hardly any food. I told my wife I was going to go for a REALLY long walk and told her my route so that she could come and pick me up after an hour or so. I forced myself to eat a big bowl of oatmeal, got changed, and started walking.
I had a panic attack as soon as I left the house because I had acrophobia back then too (which is natural after weeks of panic attacks and lack of sleep and food) but I just kept walking. I remember noticing how beautiful the trees were and the grass was. I remember that anything that in nature seemed to gleam. It was so strange. I think what happens is that when we are in a full blown panic attack we are some how MORE connected to universal source. When we stop panicking we revert back to taking all of our calmness for granted and we forget about the true beauty of nature.
Anyway, after 45 minutes of walking, and avoiding eye contact with any human being, I began to sweat, and in an hour and half I was really sweating. As the full sweat began I could feel all the tingling and dizziness start to slowly leave my body – my legs, arms, head, etc.
After two hours of walking I was actually feeling great and I noticed that I was not panicky anymore. My wife picked me up 3 hours later!! I slept like a baby that night and that sleep helped me get my appetite back and that was the end of that horrible run of panicky days and nights.
So try and do some long range exercise if you can. If you have to, get some help from friends and family to watch the kids while you do it. Make sure your family friends know what you are going through so they can help you.
You will get through this. I have been right where you are and eventually your body and mind seems to say, “alright….enough – you are going to be fine and I am going to make sure you are”.
Usually after the panicky months or years goes away you end up making some big changes in your life. Those big changes can be just THE WAY YOU LOOK AT THINGS, or it can be big changes externally – a new job, new spouse, new job, new living space, new City or Town.
Your anxiety is caused by changes in your external life or internal changes of what you want for yourself. Losing a job, a dream, a loved one, a religion, a belief – and all of those things were never yours and never real anyway. The only thing that is real is your connection to universal source (love, nature, and absolute peace).
You ARE NEVER ALONE in your life. You are ALWAYS connected to universal love and energy, and yes, EVEN WHEN YOU ARE HAVING A PANIC ATTACK. Like I said, I believe that people who are suffering from a panic attack can sense universal connection more than someone who is not – why? I don’t know yet, but there is something to this.
I know that you are suffering deeply, but in fact you are now waking up. You are waking up to what is closer to reality because you are starting to understand that all of the conventions you have associated yourself (and maybe clung to) are NOT you. YOU are perfect, stronger than you think, and at a cross-roads in your journey.
Guess what happens to all those people who never suffer with panic, depression, and anxiety. NOTHING! They stay in a sort of mundane rut the rest of their lives – sort of in limbo and frustrated with all of life’s daily mundane THINGS. They are not really “at peace” by definition, but they are not suffering from extreme self-created anxiety.
Our goal in life is to understand our true connection with universal energy and spend our days taking part in living, eating, planning, dreaming, striving, etc. etc. without worrying about ANYTHING, because we know we are just “playing with form”.
We’re enjoying that walk, we’re enjoying our work (yes it can be done even if you decided for some reason that you hated your job), we’re enjoying our family, we’re enjoying our friends, were enjoying entertainment, we’re enjoying our food, we’re enjoying our sleep.
BUT when we are AWARE of our connection to universal energy (what religions have called God for centuries) we are TRULY GRATEFUL for the ability to live and enjoy these things and activities of life. We don’t judge every thing, every one, or even our own thoughts. We take every thing, everyone, and every “happening” as a simple movement of form.
When we are aware of our universal connection of love energy we live in the moment and don’t have guilt or regret about the past and we don’t have fear of the future. We live in the moment only. This is the true secret to peace in your life – LIVING IN GRATITUDE and LIVING IN THE MOMENT.
Let go and let God. Let go of your fear, regret, guilt, and stop beating yourself up. You are a wonderful person who is more sensitive (more connected) than the average person. You are special and you will get through all of this for the better. You are not alone. Millions and millions around the world have dealt with EXACTLY the same base-fear thoughts you have had.
Don’t take your mind too seriously because it knows nothing and has no REAL control of your life. Your faith in universal love and connection is what is real.
Slide over from the drivers seat and get comfortable in the passenger’s seat. Let the wind blow back your hair while enjoy the scenery that is going by. LET THE UNIVERSE HAVE THE WHEEL.
Now go get some food, some physical exercise, and try to relax. It’s going to be OK.
Jacob
Hi i have trouble with anxiety when i compete at my horse shows i turn into a nervous wreck i have been riding and competing a long time now but since the birth of my son 3 years ago i get extremely upset and my memory goes blank through panicing. do you have any advice?
The birth of your son may have been a trigger in that your assemblage point has changed. In other words your human growth is changing. You may find that your attachment to success in riding and competition have become to important in your MIND, and it is also possible that you have a fear of being hurt and not being there for your son in the future – maybe not.
Once again, you must learn why you were riding in the first place – because you loved horses, riding horses, the sound of the horse’s breath, the feeling of riding all together. The smells and sensations that come with riding are miraculous I have heard.
It’s possible that your mind (ego – same thing) have taken control and you are riding for completely the mind’s constant drive to imagine a “place setting” for yourself, when the REAL reason you fell in love with riding was purely from the connection to universal energy (God).
You can try taking a break from riding, or try using your mind to remember WHY you loved riding in the first place.
Usually with ALL human BEINGS, there is an internal struggle between what they really are and what they THINK they are. Those who begin to struggle with anxiety are people who have developed such a strong attachment to their thoughts and mind activity, that they feel cut off from their TRUE existence. You are NOT just a father, earner, husband, horse expert, etc. etc.
You are connected to source and this may be time to rethink why you are still riding.
Quitting is one of the best things humans can do. If you job is draining you maybe it’s time to change. If you marriage is draining you maybe it’s time to change. If your hobbies and so-called passions are no longer thrilling you for the right reasons, maybe it’s time to change.
You are here to evolve – not go down in some history book (or blog) as a GREAT rider, or GREAT father.
You are hear to take in the glory of life on earth, and let your senses guide you. You don’t need to be GOOD at something.
You need to ENJOY life and experience life – not be GOOD at life.
Hi,
I really like your idea of defragging the thoughts away and your website. I am really suffering from axiety to the point that I shake all the time and having a hard time in work or daily living. I hate to go into stores as I just really start shaking not so sure this a panic attach but a symptom. I also drink more than I should just to make it go away. I am a mess and feel all the guilt and stress of trying to be normal while feeling I am really out of control.
Thank you for this website,
Gayla
Hi Gayla,
The guilt issue is a common disease we “human beings” have because we are always so wrapped up in thought – thoughts that decide what is right and wrong in ourselves, others, situations, etc. etc. You have nothing to be guilty about. Everything that happened in the past is just “a story from before” – you will learn to stop this part of the incessant thinking problem.
No regarding the shaking. Are you feeling anxious before the shaking starts, or does it just come on right out of the blue?
Regardless of what the symptoms are, there is only one thing that is causing your suffering (and suffering in all of us human beings) is a constant stream of thinking. I know it sounds nuts when I say we must stop thinking and stop talking to ourselves all the time, but it is the most important thing to do if we want to truly be relaxed and at peace.
It will take some time Gayla, but you will learn to deal with this. Please read (or listen to) Wayne Dyer and Eckhart Tolle when you get a chance. This will help – videos on this site so just search in our search bar Wayne Dyer and Eckhart Tolle.
