Hello to all my fellow anxiety sufferers. I hope you are enjoying today and your mind is not rattling you with worries and concerns.
I have had many emails from readers wondering if I am “still here” and “if I am doing alright”. Thank you so much for your concern and your kind thoughts. I want you to know that I am still here and that I still read all of the comments from you on this web site.
I am doing fine. My anxiety is under control more than it ever has been and I spend each day just “being” and not letting my “mind” control my day or moment.
I wrote a post this morning responding to one our readers and it is entitled, Comment to June. There are a few nuggets in that post that can help you find a deeper level of peace.
In my personal journey I have discovered many new teachings in book stores, on the Internet, and in watching other people in my midst. These teachings have helped me on my way to true enlightenment and I will list some of these teachers off here;
- Wayne Dyer
- Eckhart Tolle
- Dan Millman
- Carlos Castaneda
- Jesus Christ
- The Buddha
- Muhammed
- St. Francis of Assisi
- Deepak Chopra
- Lau Tze
No human is the answer to our struggles, but yet the truly enlightened humans can help guide us to the ultimate truth. Organized religions simply point to a human being that existed (or exists) as the answer to peaceful existence in our flesh bodies that we have been so graciously given. All of the above teachers are pointing to one real truth – the truth of our pure connection to universal love energy.
When you weave all of these teachers’ lessons you will see a common theme. The truth that our salvation is within us already, and we need not seek salvation outside what our mind perceives to be “ourselves”. All of these teachers at the core were (and are) trying to tell us something. Our actual reality is not of the mind – it is of the spirit.
Our spirit is simply universal energy and is one with all spirit. One with all people, all animals, all trees, every blade of grass, every wind, every rain drop, every flake of snow, every ocean wave, and every grain of sand.
Our so-called mature human minds have been taught and “programmed” by our parents, our surroundings, our televisions, our radios, our books, our school teachers, our friends, our neighbors, our children etc. At the point of our entry to this world of form in flesh we are perfect. Our minds have not learned how to fear, our minds have not learned how to label, our minds have not learned how to judge, our minds have not learned how to separate, our minds have not learned how imagine false past, our minds have not learned how imagine false futures, our mind have not learned how to feel guilt, and our minds have not learned how to worry. At birth we are still perfectly connected. A new-born baby exists in pure consciousness and is a far more intelligent human being than a full-grown, or so-called adult. The human adults on earth are suffering because of their so-called grown up minds. In order for us to discover true enlightenment we must become AWARE of our “mind noise” and learn to take our mind noise with a “grain of salt”.
When we reach pure enlightenment (absolute peace) as adults we learn how wrong our minds are, and how wrong the minds were that surrounded us growing up. This is not saying that the humans minds that raised us and taught us growing up were “bad” or “evil”. Ironically some of the worst teaching we have as children are from people who loved us deeply and had the greatest intentions. The problem is that they were not truly enlightened and they were trying to teach us with their minds. Their minds were filled with the programming that their parents and teachers gave them.
Human beings have struggled and still struggle with their busy minds labeling and judging everything they see, feel, and experience. But there is some great news my friends. Humans are beginning to awaken. This is why so many so-called anxiety sufferers suffer in the modern world. Humans are beginning to wake up to a truth they have been longing to find. We are learning thanks to teachers like the ones listed above.
So I am simply reiterating what these teachers have taught me and I claim nothing and no words of my own. I claim not to be a teacher but simply another human being slowly discovering enlightenment. I am simply documenting this journey on SA. Please don’t see me a human being to follow, but more as a fellow human being who is with you struggling as you do with mind indoctrination and “mind noise”. I want to help you learn how to turn off your “mind noise” and take that “somersault into the inconceivable” as Wayne Dyer puts it.
I know that the majority of readers here understand that I am just a fellow sufferer of anxiety (or better put – a human being waking up to enlightenment) but my mind is concerned that some readers might place too much on my words here. My words are simply brought forth from my mind with a specific intention – to help myself and others discover the deep peace that lies mostly dormant inside them – what Carlos Castaneda called “Dormant Forces”. I want to tap into these dormant forces and discover the true peace (universal intelligence) that permeates every cell of my body and every atom in the universe.
However, some readers may want to a personal dialogue with “this human being named Jacob Markuson” and with only the purest of intentions. I do not wish to be a so-called “leader” of any sort. My form is simply another human form that exists for a brief time as flesh, and my mind’s ego-based struggles are the same as any anxiety sufferers. I am as imperfect a human being as the next, and will never reach perfection during my short time in this flesh body. I am not be looked to for answers as any kind of teacher. I am the imperfection in form that all humans are – including you, of course.
My mind will read your emails and I will continue to write advice from my perspective of mind with one goal – and that is to help in some way to free you of the mental noise that you deal with every day. When I discover a thought process that helps me tap in to the endless and infinite pool of universal love energy I will share it in the hopes that others can use the same process in their daily lives.
No words I write (or any one human can write) can possibly be enlightenment. As Eckhart Tolle suggests, “Words are only sign post”. Words are only sign posts to be used by the mind to help us turn off mind noise and live in the present moment. Words are only tools by which we utilize to communicate our mind thoughts to other human beings. The language of essence is silence. The truth is nothingness. Our human minds cannot concieve God, nothingness, and enlightment. Only our bodies and can experience God. Our minds are tools to be used to focus thought energy into our bodies and and through our bodies we recieve enlightenment – but this enlightment cannot be described in words. Enlightment cannot be mind concieved – it must be felt.
This is the essence of “The Gap” that so many great teachers have spoken of. The Gap is the space between thoughts where nothingness is and where universal love energy is. This is why human beings have learned to meditate. Meditation is simply any process whereby you quiet the thoughts in your mind and let your body simply be. This is why successful meditation is such a peaceful experience. At the moment of “mind nothingness” or “no mind” you are tapping into the infinite pool of peace that lies deep inside all humans.
You have the peace inside of your body and it cannot be undone or removed. When someone who suffers from anxiety feels depression or fear they have allowed their mind to control the moment. All of your mind activity is pure speculation and is not a real. The only thing that is real is the “feeling” you experience when your mind truly stops it’s unnecessary activity.
Our goal as anxiety sufferers is to learn how we can be objective spectators of our thoughts without letting our (usually negative) thoughts have any weight. The only thoughts that have weight or universal truth are good thoughts, so dwell in them. If you must let your mind energy rein try to let it tell you only positive thoughts because these thoughts are REAL. Negative thoughts are unreal and are purely your mind’s fear-based imagination at work. Evil is imagined and love is real.
So-called evil thoughts are based in human imagination and is not real. If the human imagination allows unreal evil thoughts to dominate them, and they live with these thoughts for a long period of time they (in rare cases of world population) may act on them. Their deeds in negative (so-called evil) form cause suffering for themselves and suffering for others. What ultimately ensues is enlightenment for these collective sufferers further expands the collective human experience. Evil is not real and when it is exposed to the light of reality (love) it cannot exist. One atom of pure love energy can deflate a human’s inflated imagined negativity.
This is why enlightened humans always greet evil and hatred with love and kindness. These humans understand the core reality of all collective human flesh – the reality is that all bodies are actually connected to love (the light). Only human minds imagine any other unreal (negative) thought. Truly enlightened humans have learned this and seek to deflate the negative mind energy of unconscious human beings. They seek to give unconscious human beings the tools in which to find their true reality.
For for many human who beings who let their ego-based minds rein they face evil with evil, and negativity with negativity. They let their minds respond to hatred as in “an eye for eye”. They let a negative mind’s unreal negative energy permeate their “pain body” (as Eckhart Tolle describes it) and soon let their mind take them into unconciousness, anger, hatred, and fear.
Our goal while in these beautiful flesh forms we call “bodies” is to not allow our minds to fall into the above described negative thoughts which are not real. Our goal is feel the all knowing nothingness of truth that lies dormant within. Our goal is to understand that negative thoughts in another fellow human being is not real and not to be taken seriously. Just as we must not take any of our own negative thoughts seriously. The only thoughts we need take seriously are those that are good.
Whenever you see a person or situation as it truly is, you are seeing it for the pure beautiful energy that it is. Even if your mind veers off course into the unreal you should not judge yourself as “bad”, or attach a human thought or word to it. Your thought just is, and when your thoughts are good, your body will be directly effected by the direction it has chosen. Your mind is extremely powerful, but nothing more than a powerful tool as I have said above.
Your mind is an instrument to be used to find the reality within. Your mind is the instrument to be utilized to discover the deep peace that is within you. Your mind is a complex tool to be used to tap into the infinite God essence that lies dormant inside of you – just waiting for you to see it. Your mind is the instrument you can use to dive deep into true consciousness.
When you are “feeling” and not thinking, and deep in the present moment, you are actually touching God. There is no need for your mind to work when you are connected to God (universal energy). When you are deeply connected to the essence of God your mind is turned off. When you are approaching pure consciousness your mind has slowed down to idle. The further your mind takes you away from consciousness the faster it works – that faster is scrambles. This is why anxiety sufferers have the sensation of their mind “speeding” when they are having an anxiety attack. The mind is temporarily lost in thought and being utilized by ego and form attachment.
When your mind is in idle you have one foot in reality and one foot in fantasy. Most humans are at this state most of the time. When we suffer we are letting our minds move further to fantasy and when we feel peace our minds are moving further to reality. This is why a simpleton lives in peace. He or she is mostly ignorant of mind created fantasy and therefore suffers less. However, they cannot truly reach the next stage of collective human consciousness which is AWARENESS. They cannot reach “the end of suffering” (as the Buddha calls it) until they are fully aware of mind thought and aware of their true God essence connection.
The people of earth that are moving the human collective towards enlightenment suffer more than the simpleton. These people are the lucky who must at some point in their flesh existence suffer. These people who suffer have been “given a the nod” so-to-speak – they have been “tapped on the shoulder” so-to-speak. They have been given a great opportunity to tap into the dormant forces of universal energy that permeates their bodies.
Emails To Me at Sane Advice (SA)
Another note about emails I receive from Sane Advice (SA). I have a friend who will be handling all email from SA from now on. She will be my go-between so-to-speak, and her name is Carol. She makes sure I only get real emails from real readers of SA and she filters out spam and commerial for profit emails. I do not use Sane Advice as a profit center in any way right now, and cannot honestly see myself deciding to profit from this web site.
So when I email you back I will have Carol email you my replies. She is a great lady and cares deeply about the plight of anxiety sufferers.
Thanks for checking in Jacob! Its inspiring to see a former extreme anxiety sufferer living a full and inspiring life:) It gives us all hope. I think you are doing a wonderful thing sharing your experiences with us. Thank you.
Thanks for the kind words. Have a great spring and summer of 2009!!!!!!!!!!
